The outline
What does a brow wax shape?
The edges
Waxing edits the outline of your brows, not the hairs inside it. It takes in the start of the brow, the arch, the tail and the strays below and between: the quick clean-up on the menu.
How long it lasts
Until the hairs around the outline grow back in. Rebook when the edges start to look soft again.
Where the arch sits
A preference study found the favored brow peak on or outside the outer corner of the eye. It measured East Asian brows, so treat it as a starting point for your conversation with Desiree; the right arch is the one that still looks like you.

Prep and aftercare
How do I prepare for a brow wax?
- Come without brow makeup.
- If you can, skip tweezing or waxing your brows for about two weeks, so there is more to shape.
- Skip retinol, acids and exfoliating products on your brows for three to five days before; they make the skin more sensitive to waxing.
- Arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in.
What aftercare does a brow wax need?
- For a day afterwards, skip brow makeup, steam and heavy sweating on the freshly waxed skin.
- Desiree will tell you when to book your next shaping, once the outline grows back.
