The style

What does a classic set look like, and who is it for?

The look

One extension on each natural lash, so the line stays crisp, separated and defined, like a clean coat of mascara. Your own lashes, darker and longer; Desiree's menu calls it subtle and natural: it thickens and darkens the lash line.

Who it suits

Anyone who wants the most natural-looking of the four styles, a first set, or a polished everyday look for work. Because each extension sits on one lash, classic can only be as full as your own lash line; upper lids typically hold 90 to 160 lashes, so fine or sparse lashes that want more fullness suit hybrid or volume.

How it wears

Each extension leaves when its natural lash sheds, so with one per lash a gap is easier to spot than in a fluffier set. That is visibility, not grip: we found no study showing one style's bonds outlast another's.

How its fills work

Desiree's menu keeps it full with a 60‑minute classic fill ($55) about two weeks after your visit, 90 minutes ($105) at two to three weeks or after more shedding than usual and a 30‑minute classic fill ($35) when your extensions are still on. Not ready for a full set? The 60‑ and 90‑minute classic appointments can be booked without a set already on, for a lighter set on your natural lashes.

  • Why classic is as full as your own lash line:

The human upper lid contains 90 to 160 lashes.

Prep and aftercare

How do I prepare for a full set of classic lash extensions?

  • Come with clean lashes: no mascara, eyeliner or eye makeup.
  • Skip oil-based cleansers, eye creams and makeup removers that day. Oil weakens lash adhesive, and a clean lash line helps your set last.
  • Don't curl your lashes beforehand; straight, natural lashes are easier to separate and the set sits more evenly.
  • If your eyes get sensitive or you've reacted to lash glue before, call or text Desiree and ask about a patch test 24 to 48 hours ahead.
  • If you wear contact lenses, bring your case; most people are more comfortable without them.
  • You'll lie back with your eyes closed for about 120 minutes, so wear something comfortable, and skip a big coffee right before if caffeine makes you jittery.
  • Arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in.

What aftercare does a full set of classic lash extensions need?

  • Keep your lashes dry for the first 24 hours so the adhesive can fully set.
  • Use oil-free cleansers and makeup removers around your eyes; oil breaks down adhesive.
  • Brush your lashes gently each morning with a clean spoolie.
  • Sleep on your back or side when you can, so the set stays even.
  • Book your next fill for about two weeks out to keep your set full.
